Resources for Employers
At the McCourt School, we are training future policy leaders. By recruiting here, you are reaching a community of students and alumni who have the skills, experience, knowledge, and passion to make a meaningful contribution to your organization.
We provide a variety of services to employers interested in recruiting graduate students for internships and part- or full-time employment. Learn more about employer information sessions, on-campus interviewing, the McCourtConnects! careers database, resume books, and our professional development seminars and workshops below.
Employer Information Sessions
One of the best ways to meet students and generate interest in your organization is to come to campus to conduct an employer information session. The Office of Career Development and Alumni Engagement will promote the event to generate an audience of interested students. If your organization has an important application deadline, please alert us as early as possible so students will have ample time to apply before the deadline. If you are located in the Washington, DC area, you have the option to hold an information session at your facility. If you are located outside of the Washington, DC area, we also have the option of hosting a virtual information session. To schedule an information session, please contact Lynda Jones, Assistant Director of Employer Relations & Career Development at lj451@georgetown.edu .
On-Campus Interviewing
Recruiters may reserve space for on-campus interviews by contacting Lynda Jones at lj451@georgetown.edu with ample time prior to the selected interview date.
Job and Internship Posting
Job and internship openings are listed in McCourtConnects! to which all current McCourt School students and alumni have access. Posting opportunities is free of charge. Select the Register tab to establish an organization profile and a contact; then select the Post Job tab to upload the opening. If you have questions about the system, please contact Briana Green at bhg6@georgetown.edu.
Resume Books
Employers who prefer to review the resumes of McCourt School students as a group may submit their requirements directly and we will collect the resumes of applicants and forward them to the appropriate department of your organization. To request a resume book, please contact Lynda Jones at lj451@georgetown.edu .
Professional Development Seminars and Workshops
The Office of Career Development and Alumni Engagement offers workshops on different career development skills including networking, resume writing, social media, and interviewing techniques. We welcome recruiting partners and alumni to facilitate a professional development seminar/workshop. These workshops are usually one hour in length and can occur in person or virtually. If you are interested in participating in a Professional Development Seminar or Workshop, please contact Briana Green at bhg6@georgetown.edu.
