Master of Public Policy (MPP) Anchor

Master of Public Policy (MPP)

The Master of Public Policy degree is designed to equip students with the key skill sets needed to create a valuable and lasting impact in the public policy space. The analytical, research and writing, and quantitative skills gained through the MPP’s rigorous curriculum attract many premier employers to recruit McCourt students.

Master of Science in Data Science for Public Policy (MS-DSPP) Anchor

Master of Science in Data Science for Public Policy (MS-DSPP)

In governments and the nonprofit sector, the demand for data analysts, scientists, and data savvy managers is rising quickly. Oriented towards public service and civic engagement but relevant in the private and nonprofit sectors, graduates of the MS-DSPP program will not only be trained in the tools of data science and quantitative public policy analysis, but also in communicating their solutions effectively in the policy world.

MS-DSPP is a new program at McCourt. MS-DSPP students have recently interned with the following organizations:

  • Precision Agriculture for Development

Master of International Development Policy (MIDP) Anchor

Master of International Development Policy (MIDP)

Students emerge from the MIDP program with an advanced understanding of rigorous impact evaluation techniques. Past graduates serve in top positions in the public, private, nonprofit, and multilateral sectors around the world and represent a valuable resource for each new cohort of incoming students.

Recent MIDP graduates have gone on to work for the following organizations:

  • IMPAQ International 
  • United States Agency for International Development 
  • The World Bank

Master of Policy Management (MPM) Anchor

Master of Policy Management (MPM)

Graduates of the MPM program become policy leaders in public, nonprofit, multilateral, and private organizations. The degree prepares them with the analytical insights and critical-thinking skills that successful professionals in the policy world need. They also focus on management and leadership, which provides a grounding in successfully navigating complex organizations and the political processes. Although MPM students come to McCourt with at least five years of professional experience, they leave with a cohort from whom they will learn for a lifetime.

MPM graduates have gone on to do great things, including serving as:

  •   General Officers in the US Army
  •   High-level appointees in the U.S. Executive Branch
  •   Principals in Consulting Firms
  •   Directors of NGOs
  •   A Member of the European Union Parliament
  •   The President of Colombia
