March 9 Update
Dear McCourt Community:
I am writing to update you on our ongoing efforts to plan for and respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Updates:
- As of today, McCourt School offices are open, and on-campus classes and events will proceed as scheduled, unless otherwise noted.
- We are planning a practice run to assess our ability to host all of our classes online. I will share additional information about the plan and timing of this test as soon as possible.
Reminders:
- The McCourt School will communicate with you on this topic through your Georgetown email. We encourage you to check your email frequently and read these emails carefully.
- We recommend taking home your laptops and power cords, textbooks, and/or other course materials that you may keep in your campus office or locker.
Resources:
- Visit Georgetown’s Coronavirus Resource Center for important information like answers to frequently asked questions, how to stay healthy on spring break, and links to University resources. For your convenience, the McCourt School has added a link to these resources from the homepage of our website.
- Visit the CDC’s COVID-19 website for important information on how the situation is evolving in the U.S., updated travel guidance, and how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.
Contacts:
- All faculty questions related to instructional continuity should be directed to Barbara Schone
- All faculty, staff and student questions not related to instructional continuity should be directed to Leslie Evertz
- From March 11 – March 17, all faculty, staff and student questions not related to instructional continuity should be directed to Lauren Mullins
The health and safety of the McCourt School community is my top priority. Given the rapidly evolving nature of this situation, we are stepping up our efforts to communicate campus updates, reminders, and useful resources should you have questions about COVID-19 or Georgetown’s response.
Best,
Dean Maria
