Enrollment Checklist for Domestic Students

Connect with us virtually
- We held a Admitted Student Welcome Webinar on February 15th.
- We will hold a week of virtual student events the week of March 11th. More details and registration links coming soon via the Admitted Student Events page.
- You can also connect with an Admissions Staff Member by scheduling a one-on-one virtual appointment. On our Admitted Student Events page , you can choose the date/time of your appointment via the calendar tool.
Visit us on-campus
- We will be hosting two full days of on-campus programming where you can tour our new building and meet members of our community. Our on-campus Admitted Student Days are scheduled for March 22nd and April 12th. Details and RSVP links will be posted on this page soon.
- We also are offering one-on-one appointments on campus with an admissions staff member. Schedule a meeting via the calendar tool on the Admitted Student Events page (select “Admitted Student Meetings (In Person)” to meet with us on campus).
Submit your Deposit
Admitted students must submit a tuition deposit in order to confirm their plans to enroll at the McCourt School.
Your tuition deposit of 0 is due by the date indicated on your admission letter (you may also see table below). The tuition deposit is non-refundable.
*Recipients of the McCourt Scholar award, Howard Scholar award and other fellowship awards may be asked to reply by April 15 irrespective of when the application was submitted.
Please refer to your admissions letter for specific instructions on how to accept your offer .
Submit your Official, Final Transcript
Please refer to your admission letter to determine which transcripts you need to submit.
The official transcript must include confirmation and date of degree conferral. A diploma or degree certificate showing degree conferral and degree data can be provided.
All foreign official documents should include an English-language translation from the institution, notarized translator, or by a credential evaluation service when applicable.
To be official, documents must be submitted directly from the institution to Georgetown University through one of the following options:
- Submitted to Georgetown University in an envelope issued by the institution and sealed by the Registrar or an equivalent office
- Submitted to Georgetown University from the institution via a secure electronic delivery, such as Scrip-Safe.

Submit your Immunization Form
If you are a new enrolling student and are under the age of 26 at the time of registration, you are required by District of Columbia law to provide documentation of vaccination or immunity from Diphtheria, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. The deadline to submit your immunization form is August 1st.
Pre-Curriculum Preparation
Applicable only for MPP, MS-DSPP, and MIDP Students:
Due to the rigorous quantitative training involved at the McCourt School, incoming students are required to have strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, and economics. Please check the overview of required expectations of incoming students, as well as a list of resources for meeting the necessary prerequisites: Econ Prep, Math Prep, Political Science Prep, MIDP Prep, MS-DSPP Prep.
Apply to take a Waiver Exam (if qualified)
Students may be eligible to waive out of required courses for their programs if they have had similar coursework in the past. Here are the syllabi for the courses from which you may be able to waive. Please review the waiver procedure document below before filling out the waiver exam application . Save the Date for Orientation
Once you secure your space by depositing, Orientation should be at the top of your priority list. During this time, incoming students will meet with their Faculty and academic advisors, get to know Georgetown’s campus, take the Micro and Quant waiver exams (if applicable), explore Washington, DC, and get to know their fellow classmates. Most importantly, all incoming MPP (including Evening students), MIDP, and DSPP students are required to participate in the mandatory McCourt Foundations Course from August 19th- August 23rd, 2024.
MPM students will have their mandatory Orientation and Foundations on Wednesday, June 5th and Thursday, June 6th.

Check your GU Email Account
You should be checking your Georgetown email account regularly throughout the summer because all official emails will go to your Georgetown email account. You will receive your username and password in your admission letter.
For Summer 2024 MPM admits:
Summer 2024 MPM admits will receive detailed communications from the McCourt Academic Advising Team, on registration for Summer classes, before the end of January 2024. Live registration for MPM Summer classes will begin on Monday February 5, 2024 at 9:00 AM in MyAccess.
You will begin receiving weekly emails starting in early April from the McCourt Academic & Student Affairs Team.
For Deposited Fall 2024 admits:
Fall 2024 deposited students in all programs will receive detailed communications on registration for Fall classes before the end of the first week of May 2024.
Live registration for these students will begin on Tuesday June 4 at 8:00 AM in MyAccess.

Admitted Student Community (via WhatsApp)
Deferrals
Deferral requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Deferral of admission is limited to one request per admitted program. Requests must be received before the start of the semester to which you were admitted. Please note that scholarship offers are not automatically carried over to the deferred term. Students whose deferrals are approved will be re-evaluated for scholarship consideration in the next admissions cycle. Students admitted off the waitlist are unfortunately not eligible to defer.
