MIDP Employment Outcomes
Our graduates are highly competitive in almost any kind of development institution, but generally our graduates gravitate to three kinds of positions:
- Technical and analytical work done by economists, monitoring and evaluation experts, and research staff;
- Management and program design positions in institutions that are committed to generating and using rigorous evidence of impact; and
- Government agencies, NGOs and think tanks in their home countries.
One aspect of employment that almost all MIDP alumni share is that their institutions are eager to improve development effectiveness using rigorous evidence and economic logic. Our graduates are prepared to work within political environments, but most are not interested in being, or in working for, development managers who are driven by narrow personal or professional interests.
