Student Health Center (SHC) is staffed by primary care physicians and nurses with particular training and experience in college health. Please call the SHC at 202-687-2200 or send a message through the MedStar portal. For after-hours call the page operator at 202-444-PAGE (7243) and ask for the SHC provider on call.

Georgetown Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS) Ongoing telehealth service available to students located in DC, Maryland and Virginia. To make a free appointment, call 202-687-6985 during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.). After hours, call 202-687-6985

Health Education Services (HES) is staffed by licensed health professionals who provide confidential services to students free of charge.

HOYA Wellness Wheel & Resources The HOYA Wellness Wheel provides a visual representation of the nine dimensions or areas of an individual’s life that contribute to their overall health, and links to resources available at Georgetown for each of those dimensions. 

HoyaWell provides students with 24/7/365 access to telemental health services from anywhere in the United States at no cost to students. Please contact TimelyMD Customer Support at 833-484-6359 or help@timely.md

Student Health Insurance (SHI): Many students are eligible to enroll in Georgetown’s Health Insurance Plan. To check your eligibility and activate your plan please follow this link. All insurance-related questions should be directed to the SHI Office at shi@georgetown.edu or 202-687-4883

Student Outreach and Support (SOS): non-confidential resource offering support to students experiencing crises, difficult personal circumstances or unexpected transitions that interrupt a student’s course of study.

Emergencies on and off Campus

Georgetown Emergency Response Medical Services (GERMS) should be called whenever a person in the Georgetown community is sick, hurt, or scared about the health or well-being of another person. If necessary, GERMS will escort the student to the nearest hospital emergency room. Contact GERMS at 202-687-4357. 
Georgetown University Police Department(GUPD) can be reached at 202-687-4343 for other on-campus emergencies. For the Sexual Assault Response Team, ask to be connected to Sgt. Pearson. If experiencing an emergency off-campus in the DC Metro area please call 911.
