Howard Scholar at McCourt
The Howard Scholar at McCourt program is a full-tuition scholarship for a Howard University student or alumnus to attend one of the following McCourt School graduate programs:
- Master of International Development Policy (MIDP)
- Master of Policy Management (MPM)
- Master of Public Policy (MPP), full time or evening program
- Master of Science in Data Science for Public Policy (MS-DSPP)
- Executive Master of Policy Leadership (EMPL)

How to Apply
The application for the Howard Scholar at McCourt program for the 2024-2025 academic year is now closed.
Applicants should follow McCourt’s standard admissions process and must apply by the January 15 Priority Deadline in order to be considered for the Howard Scholar program. Applicants do not need to apply separately for the Howard Scholar award. All admitted students/alumni from Howard University will be automatically considered.
Please note that the award covers full tuition, but the Howard Scholar will be responsible for any additional fees (e.g., health insurance, transcript fee, student activities fees).
