Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt for the multidisciplinary approach and the academic rigor of the program. I was also very drawn to McCourt for its large variety of student organizations and for its proximity to Capitol Hill and all of the wonderful opportunities DC offers to policy students.

What was the best part of your experience? The best part of my McCourt experience was by far my cohort. My cohort remained resilient and compassionate during the COVID-19 virtual learning environment and continue to be some of the most supportive, intelligent, and passionate people I have ever met. They continue to teach and inspire me every day.

What internships did you have during your time at McCourt? During my time at McCourt, I was the Eisenberg Public Interest Fellow for Georgetown’s Center for Public & Nonprofit Leadership, where I researched and analyzed anti-racism initiatives in post-secondary institutions to inform the McCourt School’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts. I also served as a Data Analytics Intern for EveryMind, an organization focused on Veteran’s Mental Health that is based in Rockville, Maryland.

Student organization involvement while at McCourt:

Undergraduate University, degree, and major: I have a dual degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a BA in Government & Politics, a BS in Psychology, and a Neuroscience Minor

Hobbies / Interests:In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking through National Parks, training for half marathons, and slowly turning my apartment into a greenhouse.
