Why did you choose McCourt? I was excited by the prospect of applying data science to policy and social issues, and also the ability to live in work in DC as a policy hub!

What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? I studied both sociology and data science as an undergraduate at William & Mary. There, I worked on research surrounding racial gerrymandering, eviction, and political theory. After graduation, I worked with the Massachusetts Teachers Pension Program as an analyst before coming back to school.

What has been the best part of your experience so far? Getting to know my classmates and professors, and learning from their amazing and diverse experiences.

What internships have you had so far during your time at McCourt? I am currently interning with the Brown Education Center at the Brookings Institution as a research assistant.
