Nick Bono graduated from the McCourt School of Public Policy in 2018 and is an active Army officer with over 13 years of tactical, operational, and strategic military experience. Nick also holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Communication, and Philosophy from Rockhurst University, as well as graduating from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
Nick currently serves in the Acquisition Corps as a program manager with a focus on intelligence systems and artificial intelligence. After graduating from Georgetown, Nick completed an Army fellowship with assignments in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Algorithmic Warfare Cross-Functional Team (Project Maven).
Nick’s favorite memories as a student were group projects where his classmates could role play as policymakers, and the access incredible guest speakers and adjunct professors who actively work as leaders across government and industry.
Nick is excited to continue serving both Georgetown and the Army in his role on the alumni board. He looks forward to strengthening the partnership established by several Army and Department of Defense fellowship and scholars programs, while leveraging Georgetown alumni who serve in the military to increase investments in civil-military relations.
