Hometown: Xi’an, Shaanxi, China
Why did you choose McCourt? The reason I chose McCourt is because of its exceptional location and the rich resources it offers. Studying public policy at the heart of Washington, D.C., a major policy center, is incredibly fascinating as it provides me with the opportunity to access a wealth of interesting lectures and have the chance to meet the policymakers and politicians who were previously beyond my reach.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? I think the best part so far is that all the professors I’ve met have been really nice, both within and outside the classroom, and they genuinely want to help you achieve your goals. Regardless of the challenges, whether they are academic or professional, they have consistently gone above and beyond to provide assistance and offer invaluable advice.
Student organization involvement while at McCourt: I am currently the treasurer of the East Asian Policy Association(EAPA), and throughout this academic year, we have organized a series of career and cultural events aimed at providing valuable opportunities for students to learn, network, and engage with topics related to East Asia.
Undergraduate University, degree, and major: Xi’an International Studies University, International Economics and Trade
