Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt because of its unique location in the beating heart of global policymaking. Its proximity to leading think-tanks, global multilateral organizations, and government agencies opened a variety of opportunities for me to learn and experience public policy in action. The second reason was the amazing McCourt faculty and the quantitative analysis concentration. Also, McCourt is one of the only MPP programs that offers a thesis track for those considering academic careers. Lastly, Georgetown is just a fountain of opportunities in which to network and meet brilliant people. I took advantage of many extracurricular opportunities and met top global leaders (Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Brian Moynihan of Bank of America, and many more).
What has been the best part of your experience so far? My friends! I had the privilege to meet super talented and amazing people from all over the world. We had an amazing time together both in school and outside, fun (and challenging) moments that I will cherish forever.
What internships did you have during your time at McCourt? I worked as an analyst with the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation at Georgetown University for two years. During the summer of 2018, I was a fellow at New America. In 2019, I was a fellow at the Information Technology Industry Council.
Student organization involvement while at McCourt: During my time at McCourt, I co-founded the Georgetown Technology Policy Initiative (GTPI). I was a student leader with The Global Social Enterprise Initiative at the McDonough School of Business. Also, I had the honor to take 50 McCourt students on an itrek – a special policy trip to my home, Israel.
Undergraduate University, degree, and major: Ono Law School, LL.B. (Member of the Israeli Bar Association)
Hobbies/ Interests: Hiking, biking, live jazz, and searching for the best happy hour in the city.
