McCourt Announces 2017 Fund for Student Excellence Recipients

Launched in 2011, the Fund for Student Excellence provides financial assistance to students who are advancing their careers with substantive and meaningful internships that are unpaid. Each recipient will receive a ,500 stipend to help defray costs associated with their unpaid summer internships.

This year’s recipients will intern both nationally and internationally, with organizations such as: US Department of State, Economic Section, in Belgrade, Serbia; D.C. Appleseed in Washington, DC; The World Bank in Washington, DC; United States Senate, Committee on Finance; and the Millennium Challenge Corporation in Lusaka, Zambia.

The McCourt School believes in experiential learning and supports students who wish to apply their skills and gain experience while making a difference in their field of interest. This Fund receives support from the McCourt School and our alumni, who understand the value of unpaid internships.
