Ariyanna Ghala is a student at James Madison High School with a deep commitment to public policy, criminology, and social justice. Ariyanna’s academic and professional interests span criminology, law, gender studies, and menstrual equity. She is particularly passionate about public policy that addresses systemic inequalities and has demonstrated this through her leadership of a nonprofit focused on menstrual equity, which has been recognized by the Washington Post, NBC News, and Scholastic Choice Magazine. She has also interned at the Law Offices of Paul Samakow and with TurnUp, an international non-profit focused on increasing youth voter turnout and education.
