Why did you choose McCourt? For me, there are bunch of reasons why I choose McCourt, I’d like to share three of them. First, there were no better place to study policy than in Washington DC, the heart of resources. There are so many connections from McCourt to IMF, UN, Word Bank, etc. where you will meet a lot of great people with inspiration. Secondly, as data analysis skills get more and more important, the curriculum designed in McCourt are great choice to enhance technical skills such as Stata, Tableau, R in different classes. And also you are welcome to pursue other classes that are interested you in Georgetown other schools (SFS/Law/Business). Thirdly, as an international student, working authorization is a vital part we considered. McCourt MPP program has been admitted as a STEM program which allows you explore your career journey in 3 years. So, have fun with your life here!
What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? Prior to coming to McCourt, I worked in marketing at Microsoft China and data analysts in Tiktok China. Welcome to connect me via LinkedIn.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? The best part for me would be the support from McCourt cohort, not only professors, but also functional operation staffs. When I reach out to them for help, they gave their fully support for me! I appreciate it and for the first time I know there are so many people and departments that would always ready to support a student here.
What internships have you had so far during your time at McCourt? I just started a part-time marketing position, one of our clients is Costco.
