Ashkhen Kazaryan is a tech policy expert specializing in digital free speech, surveillance reform and the intersection of constitutional rights and technology. She is currently a senior fellow at Stand Together, where she spearheads initiatives to defend free speech online and advocate for government surveillance reform. Previously, Ashkhen was the lead for North and Latin America Content Regulation team at Meta. She was also its policy lead on Section 230.
Prior to her role at Meta, she served as the director of civil liberties at TechFreedom.
Ashkhen holds a Specialist in Law degree from Lomonosov Moscow State University and an LL.M. from Yale Law School.
