Joya Wheatfall-Melvin is a Master of Science in Data Science in Public Policy student at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. With a strong foundation in Political Science and Public Health from Spelman College, Joya is dedicated to leveraging data science to inform equitable public policies. Her passion lies in addressing pressing social issues that disproportionately impact marginalized communities, particularly through initiatives focused on healthcare, urban development and technology policy.
