Why did you choose McCourt? Location and prestigious reputation! Located in DC, McCourt has provided me with access to leading policy-making and global development events, activities, and resources. McCourt school is also well-known for its rigorous teaching and research. The curriculum is designed in a comprehensive way that allows us to lay a solid foundation in research methods as well as build up our areas of expertise.
What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? Before coming to McCourt, I had worked at UNDP in Thailand, a consulting firm in India, and Greenpeace in China.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? Events and student organizations! You will hear from influential speakers from different fields all over the world (more frequently when on Zoom). I also love GU politics' fellowship program. I get to listen to and speak to remarkable figures in public service in the United States, which is critical to understanding how international policies are made.
What internships have you had so far during your time at McCourt? I interned with Precision Development on digital advisory messages in Odisha, India. My work involved: Implementing agricultural extension services to farmers in Odisha and West Bengal, which included survey design in JSON, performing high-frequency quality checks (HFCs), and data wrangling.
