Lauren Inouye is Vice President, Public Policy and Government Affairs for the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS). In this role, she leads the council’s federal policy and advocacy portfolio on a wide range of issues impacting the graduate education community and serves as representation in the legislative and regulatory arenas.
Prior to joining CGS, Lauren served as the Director of Government Affairs for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. She served with the association from 2011-2018. Before coming to AACN, Lauren practiced as a registered nurse at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s Medical Intensive Care Unit.
Lauren is an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University teaching health policy to master’s nursing students.
