Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt for many reasons: Georgetown name recognition, location/career opportunities, alumni network, and adjunct professors. I also chose McCourt over SFS because I felt that an in depth focus on the practical skills, including quantitative analysis and memo writing, would serve me better in my chosen career path.
What was the best part of your experience? I have experienced a lot of great things at McCourt, but the one that stands out to me the most was my first elective class, Capacity Building and Counterterrorism. Not only was the class extremely interesting just based on the content, but our adjunct professor, John Gossart, was fascinating and affirmed my decision to go to McCourt for the adjunct professors. He is an incredibly accomplished individual in his field and also has great insight into and actual experience with the class materials. His advice continues to be invaluable to me as I pursue my career goals in national security policy.
Student organization involvement while at McCourt:
I was the Co-Chair of the Georgetown Conflict Transformation Lab, formerly known as the Georgetown Baker Negotiation Network, in my second year at McCourt. At CTL, we focused on building people’s mediation, conflict management, and negotiation skills through our clinics, dinner series, and mediation training program. After becoming a member of CTL, my mediation and negotiation skills grew immensely, as well as my interest in and understanding of negotiation as a career path.
I was also a part of the inaugural class of McCourt Leadership Fellows.

What are your hobbies/ interests? I love to read fiction novels and play board/card games in my spare time. I also love baking; some of my favorites are cream puffs, rainbow cookies, and braided bread.
