Dr. Lisa Rawlings Named President and CEO of the National Urban Fellows
Congratulations to Dr. Lisa Rawlings who will serve as the next President and CEO of the National Urban Fellows!
Dr. Rawlings is a dynamic leader, a skilled strategist, and a creative problem solver with a tireless work ethic. She brings two decades of experience in the nonprofit and public sectors and in academia. Her social impact portfolio spans from criminal justice, public health, and immigration to child welfare, disaster recovery, and youth development. As a member of the Senior Executive Service of the federal government, and throughout her career, her work focused on accountability and programmatic and organizational effectiveness.
Dr. Rawlings is a National Urban Fellows (NUF) alumnus, Class of 2011, and has been an active NUF supporter ever since. She led the creation of the Research and Statistics Boot Camp for incoming fellows and served on the Academic Partner Search Committee, responsible for recommending Georgetown University’s McCourt School as the new academic partner.
The McCourt School is the academic home to the National Urban Fellows program, a premier leadership development organization and a consistent voice of authority on leadership diversity in the United States. The NUF program brings emerging public sector leaders to McCourt to pursue a Master of Policy Management (MPM) degree , beginning with an inaugural cohort of Fellows in the summer of 2019.
