Program Information

Curriculum

The MPM program strikes a balance among analytics, management, and substance within specific policy areas. The program includes four summer institutes, core courses, a capstone project and elective courses.

Course Sequence

Full-time students complete their degrees after one summer and two semesters. Part-time participants fulfill the requirements for their degrees over the course of two summers and four semesters.

The MPM is designed for designed for both U.S. and international policy professionals with at least five years of substantial policy and/or management experience.

    McCourt Hosts Brazilian Governor for Federalism Discussion

    The McCourt School hosted Fernando Pimentel, Governor of the Brazilian state Minas Gerais, on Tuesday, Feb. 13 for a discussion about federalism and participatory politics in Brazil. McCourt Assistant Professor Paasha Mahdavi moderated the discussion.

    McCourt’s Massive Data Institute and Netherlands Central Bureau of Statistics Sign MOU

    In an agreement that demonstrates the McCourt School’s commitment to data-driven and global policy scholarship, Georgetown Provost and Executive Vice President Robert M. Groves and Netherlands Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Director General Tjark Tjin-a-Tsoi, signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, February 6.

    Four McCourt Students Selected as Presidential Management Fellows

    Established by Executive Order in 1977, the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) was created to attract outstanding citizen-scholars to Federal service. The program provides fellows with a two-year appointment, and a fast-paced opportunity to gain valuable experience.
