Quick Facts

Academic and Student Services

Beginning in the fall of 2024, McCourt School graduate students will take classes exclusively on Georgetown’s Capitol Campus.

McCourt students will have the opportunity to take elective courses at other Capitol Campus-based and nearby academic programs. These include the Law Center, the School of Continuing Studies and CALL program which already call the Capitol Campus home. We expect the Earth Commons Institute and the School of Health will offer additional courses in the coming years.

Elective opportunities offered to McCourt students at one of Georgetown’s other schools, like the School of Foreign Service or the McDonough School of Business, will continue to be hosted on Georgetown’s Hilltop campus.

Just as on the Hilltop campus, McCourt School students on the Capitol Campus will have access to academic resources and support, financial services, dining options, transportation, information technology support, and health, wellness and safety services.

Campus Life

We envision our new home serving as a front door to Georgetown University for the policy, political and local communities, deepening our ties to the people we serve and our impact for the common good.

The building features new signature event spaces for the McCourt School and Georgetown University communities, including a 400-seat auditorium and the Capitol View Convening Space, a penthouse event space offering stunning views of the Capitol Building and downtown DC. The building design strives to strengthen connections within our community, and cultivate collaboration and conversation, with spaces like the Main Commons area which will bring students, faculty, staff and community members together.

55 H Street

McCourt students will have access to 55 H St. NW, the new, state-of-the-art, apartment-style residential community — Georgetown’s first residence hall open to graduate students. Learn more about 55 H St. here and resources available to students on the Capitol Campus here .
