Current position and employer: Health Policy Officer, Partners In Health
Hometown: Marco Island, FL
Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt for the flexibility of the part-time program, the focus on quantitative methods, and its location, which offers proximity to policymaking (and my sister who also lives in DC!)
What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? After college, I completed an MPhil in Medical Humanities at the University of Cambridge, with a focus on historical health policy. I began my involvement with Partners In Health as a grassroots volunteer advocate in 2017 and officially joined the Advocacy Team as a staff member in 2022. Through coalition building, legislative analysis, and direct advocacy, I get to work with really incredible people on a range of global health and health workforce priorities.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? I’ve really enjoyed learning from my classmates, who bring a wide range of expertise and perspectives. My professors have also been so thoughtful, kind, and generous with their time and knowledge.
