Why did you choose McCourt? McCourt stands out in two critical factors: there is no better place to study public policy than Washington, DC; and there is no one better to learn from than McCourt’s faculty, which is comprised of leading voices in the national dialogue on a wide variety of critical policy issues. I ultimately chose to pursue my policy studies at McCourt because I knew living in DC would offer unparalleled access to different speakers, events, and professional opportunities across government, NGOs/think tanks, and the private sector.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? Without a doubt, the faculty and the McCourt community have positively shaped my experience so far. Professors are able to take the classroom experience to another level by including personal and professional anecdotes about policymakers and/or researchers in their field. Faculty connections to various policy practitioners has also been an invaluable part of my professional and academic development as I explore different policy areas of interest. McCourt students are driven and passionate about creating measurable social impact, and I feel so lucky to be part of a community that emphasizes humility and compassion for ourselves and for each other. The diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences of the McCourt student body add unique dimensions to class discussions, and I have really enjoyed learning both alongside and from my classmates.

Hobbies/ Interests: Academically and professionally, I am interested in corporate social responsibility and how businesses can better respond and adapt to issues related to social and environmental sustainability. Outside of work and class, I enjoy baking, doing the New York Times Crossword, and trying out new restaurants.
