Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt due to its location, collaborative environment and robust curriculum as well as the unique MS-DSPP program. This combination convinced me that McCourt provides a one-of-a-kind Master’s experience that I wanted to be a part of.
Tell us a little about your professional/ work experience prior to coming to McCourt. In my time between graduating from Xavier University and joining McCourt I held a few different positions. I spent one year with City Year – an Americorps program that provides near-peer support for students in underserved communities. I then transitioned to work for the Cleveland Metroparks’ IT department as their Cleveland Foundation Public Service Fellow. Here I focused on expanding educational programming through innovative technology like VR and AR. Upon the fellowship’s completion, I spent the next couple of years working as a consultant for Accenture Federal Services on one of their health contracts.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? The community. From faculty and staff to classmates, the personal and professional connections are endless. The people here are invested in your success.
