Why did you choose McCourt? To me, there was no better place to study policy than in Washington, DC. Not only did McCourt fit that criterion, but also offered so much more. I was interested in a quantitative-driven curriculum as well as renowned and reputable faculty; I knew I was going to be challenged in the right ways and taught by leaders in the policy world. Having spoke to current students, I was excited to learn about the diverse and empowering community that McCourt fostered – one that I knew would challenge my perspectives, both inside and outside of the classroom, and help me gain a more empathetic approach to policy. Above all, McCourt’s mission to empower the leaders of the future and the Georgetown approach to education as cura personalis — care of the whole person — are two positions I fully align with. I knew that by joining the McCourt and Georgetown communities, I would be setting myself up for success as I navigate the world of policy and grow as an individual and leader, all while being surrounded by a diverse and like-minded group of peers that would support my journey.

What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? Prior to coming to McCourt, I worked in data analytics and market research within the consumer packaged goods industry.

What has been the best part of your experience so far? The best part of my experience so far has been, without a doubt, the people I have met. The McCourt community is full of individuals with diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives, all of whom foster a dynamic and inclusive environment. I have learned so much, both in and out of the classroom, simply from my peers. I feel so grateful to be surrounded by such driven, passionate, empathetic individuals who are willing to challenge their peers and personal perspectives.
