Claire Wootton is a Master of Public Policy student at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Prior to graduate school, Claire worked as a strategic communications professional at Breakwater Strategy, advising clients in the technology sector on navigating complex policy environments. Her work emphasized the importance of effectively communicating complex technical and policy issues to a range of stakeholders, including policymakers, media, and industry partners and solidified her commitment to bridging the gap between innovation, regulation, and the public interest. In addition to working as a graduate assistant for TPP, she also serves as the Vice President of the student-run Georgetown Tech Policy Initiative. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Barnard College
