Why did you choose McCourt? I chose Georgetown for its rigorous programs rooted in academic excellence. Specifically, McCourt’s MPM program aligned perfectly with my mid-career aspirations with its proximity to real life policy making and incredible professors and classmates.
What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? Prior to my role at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, I worked at Public Citizen leading their grassroots advocacy efforts regarding democracy reform. My start in politics stemmed from working on presidential campaigns during the Iowa Caucus in 2016 and 2020.
What has been the best part of your experience so far?
The vibrance of the McCourt community overall, most definitely! My peers, professors and McCourt staff have made my experience so much more meaningful.
A specific highlight from my first semester was giving our final presentations inside of the U.S. Capitol Building!
