The Graduate School of Arts & Sciences has announced Leslie Evertz, Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at McCourt, as recipient of the Distinguished Staff Award.

Fifteen staff members from across the university including McCourt Director of Academics Nirmala Fernandes were nominated for the award. It was one of nine presented at the 2017 Graduate Student Awards Ceremony, which recognizes teachers, staff members, and students for their distinguished work and contributions to the Georgetown community.

Leslie is often recognized by students and colleagues for outstanding achievement: In recent years she has been awarded McCourt’s Community Contribution Award and the University’s inaugural President’s Excellence Award for her significant contributions to improving the student experience and her strong support of teaching faculty.
