McCourt Student Organizations: Upcoming Info Sessions and Events

We are very excited to announce a series of welcome events hosted by the McCourt Student Organizations. These events, which will be held over the next few weeks, will be a great way for new students to learn more about our student organizations and how to get involved. Returning students are also encouraged to attend – it is never too late to become engaged with student organizations at McCourt!

Women in Public Policy Initiative (WiPPI)

Disability Policy Initiative (DPI)

McCourt Policy in Practice (MPiP)

Description: MPiP is a student organization that works pro-bono with partner NGOs in Latin America using rigorous policy tools to help them measure the impact of their programming. We are looking to recruit first year students and this session will introduce our scope of work for the upcoming year as well as walk through our application process. Georgetown Technology Policy Initiative (GTPI)

Event Title: Georgetown Technology Policy Initiative Information Session
Description: The Georgetown Technology Policy Initiative (GTPI) works to foster a community among Georgetown students and key stakeholders at the intersection of technology and society through workshops and events that connect to a broader knowledge of the sector and career opportunities in it. In the past, we’ve hosted private sector players like Mark Zuckerberg and Frank McCourt (the McCourt School’s founding donor), and public sector players like Cori Zarek (Deputy Administrator at USDS at the White House) and Aaron Snow (co-founder of 18F at GSA). At the information session, you’ll not only learn about how to get involved with GTPI and our events, you will also learn more about opportunities and courses related to tech policy available at Georgetown. We will facilitate this through a panel of professors and fellows at Georgetown who are working in the tech policy space! Food and drinks will be provided! We will also give out GTPI t-shirts and pens! First come, first serve!
