Jon Ladd Wins Goldsmith Book Prize

GPPI Professor Jon Ladd won the prestigious award for his latest book, Why Americans Hate the Media and How It Matters.

Georgetown Public Policy Institute Professor Jonathan Ladd won the prestigious Goldsmith Book Prize for his latest work, Why Americans Hate the Media and How It Matters. The award, given by the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, is awarded to “the trade and academic book published in the United States in the last 24 months that best fulfills the objective of improving democratic governance through an examination of the intersection between the media, politics and public policy.”

Jonathan Ladd is an associate professor at Georgetown University, with appointments in the Public Policy Institute and the Department of Government. He serves as American Government Field Chair in the Department of Government. He studies American politics, with a focus on the news media and public opinion.
