Fall 2024 McCourt Advisory Board Speaker Series
The McCourt School invites community members to engage with McCourt Advisory Board experts across the business, nonprofit and government sectors.
This series will feature a unique collection of off-the-record conversations with members of the McCourt School Advisory Board covering a variety of timely policy and political topics. These experts will share their perspectives and experiences making a transformative impact in public policy across the business, nonprofit and government sectors. Members of our community will have an opportunity to meet and learn valuable lessons from some of the foremost leaders putting policy into practice and helping advance the bright and bold future of the McCourt School.
Conversation topics and speakers include:
October 16: AI Regulation: Innovation’s Tightrope in the Global Tech Race with Rachel Braun (SFS’12), co-founder of a defense company in stealth, Luke Schoenfelder (C’12), founder of Latch, and Miles Taylor, New York Times best-selling author and co-founder of The Future U.S.
October 22: Investing in America: From Policy to Implementation with Alan Davidson (P’27), NTIA administrator and assistant secretary of commerce for communications and information in conversation with Jim Hock (MPP’96), managing director, external affairs, PSP Partners and McCourt Advisory Board member.
November 12: Supporting Veterans and Military Families and Protecting our Nation through Cybersecurity , a conversation with Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist and Craig Newmark Philanthropies, and Anne Marie Dougherty, CEO of the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
