March 20 Update
Dear McCourt Community:
Congratulations on reaching the end of week one at #McCourtVirtual. I know our collective transition this week required patience, flexibility and adjusting to a lot of abrupt change.
Today is a great day to take a deep breath and celebrate your substantial success. This week we moved an entire school– our classes, programs, and people– to a virtual environment. That is a tremendous feat that required a great deal of communication, coordination, and cooperative problem-solving– well done!
This week at #McCourtVirtual:
- 94 classes met online
- 76 McCourt faculty that transitioned to online learning
- 435 McCourt students logged on to learn
In addition to this awesome demonstration of online academic engagement, more than 600 people tuned in last night as our Institute of Politics and Public Service convened some of the nation’s leading experts on our pandemic response for their first virtual forum event, Leadership During Crisis: Combating the Coronavirus.
Make no mistake– we are off to a strong start. Thank you for your continued dedication and hard work as we seek to make the best of this uncertain time together.
Enjoy your weekend,
Dean Maria
