McCourt Students Engage With Tech Policy Leaders at Microsoft and Meta’s DC Offices
As part of the Tech & Public Policy Visiting Fellows Program, McCourt students met with technology leaders in Washington, DC.
Spring 2026 visiting fellows Megan Shahi and Kris Rose (MPP’18) arranged site visits for McCourt School students at two leading technology companies. Shahi brought students to Microsoft’s Policy Innovation Center, and Rose led a group to Meta’s DC office. Visiting fellow Sydney Saubestre also hosted a visit to New America’s Open Technology Institute, which conducts research and advocacy to promote tech policy that serves the public good.
Across the visits, students networked with tech policy leaders and discussed pressing issues in the field, including the responsible use of AI, data privacy and the future of work.
The Visiting Fellows Program provides a unique platform for tech policy practitioners to host timely events at the McCourt School and lead site visits to public and private organizations, providing students with exclusive opportunities to engage directly with tech policy professionals and learn about and trends shaping technology policy.
