Auveen Shafaei is a student at Lake Oswego High School deeply passionate about public policy that addresses disparities and disadvantages ingrained within various institutions. As a youth leader in the Oregon anti-hunger movement, she has raised thousands of dollars to pack over 2,000 sacks of food for elementary schoolers struggling with food insecurity. She has also worked with local non-profits to create change at a systemic level and advocate for policies creating a more equitable system within schools. Additionally, she is dedicated to promoting youth civic engagement and equipping students with the necessary tools to combat social justice issues through her organization.
