Hometown: Kathmandu, Nepal
Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt for its unmatched location in Washington, D.C., where I can engage directly with policymakers and global institutions. Its rigorous quantitative approach, combined with a focus on evidence based policymaking, made it a top choice for me.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? The support system is incredible — both professors who are genuinely approachable and invested in student success, and a collaborative student community that lifts each other up. Beyond the classroom, there’s always an insightful event happening, whether at McCourt or across DC, keeping you constantly engaged and learning.
What internships have you had so far during your time at McCourt? Internship with WWF’s Nature Finance & Investments team, Internship as a Young Professional at the East-West Center in Washington, and with the World Bank’s Global Indicators Team as a Project Intern.
