Anish Wuppalapati (MPP’26) is a first-year MPP student at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Before attending the McCourt School, he studied cognitive science at the University of California, Davis, where he stoked his policy interest by contributing to research using emergent transcription models to analyze and improve the immigration interview system. Since graduating in 2024, Anish has been driven to use his understanding of cognitive technologies to interrogate their individual and societal impacts, especially regarding mental health, privacy and equity.
