Why did you choose McCourt? First, its location in Washington, DC, provides unmatched access to policy institutions, think tanks, and government organizations. Second, the university’s Gender, Peace, and Security certificate program perfectly aligns with my academic interests. Lastly, I was excited about McCourt’s rigorous, data-driven, and analytical approach to policy analysis!
What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? I have experience in both the private and non-profit sectors, and previously worked in the Israeli tech sector and in organizations including the Association of Rape Crisis Center in Israel, and the Movement for Quality Government. Before moving to D.C., I lived in Tel-Aviv, Israel and graduated from Hebrew University of Jerusalem with an honors degree in social work.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? The intensive development of analytical skills has been the most rewarding part of my experience. Through hands-on data and statistical analysis projects, I’m gaining practical tools to transform complex data into actionable insights. Additionally, I am lucky to be part of the Gender, Peace, and Security certificate program which perfectly aligns with my policy interests.
