Current position and employer: Program Examiner at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt, because I thought it was the perfect marrying of location, rigorous academics, and knowledgeable faculty. I hope to craft detailed and targeted policies through statistical analysis and data modeling, and believed the quantitative classes would equip me with the requisite skills.
What professional/ work experience did you have prior to coming to McCourt? Prior to Georgetown, I lived and worked in Colombia as a Fulbright Fellow, where I taught English. I also worked as a paralegal helping U.S. military veterans obtain disability benefits from the VA.
What was the best part of your experience? The McCourt community is collaborative, so I’ve enjoyed learning from and engaging with motivated peers, who bring their unique experiences and perspectives to the classroom.
What internships did you have during your time at McCourt? Research Assistant for a McCourt faculty member (September 2021-May 2022); Intern at the Office of Management and Budget in OIRA (June 2022-May 2023)
