Why did you choose McCourt? One of the biggest advantage McCourt could offer is its unique location at the heart of the nation. On a weekly basis, you are able to interact and converse with impressive speakers who work at the forefront of policy making. The school does an amazing job in covering policy topics and geopolitical interests. It is extremely helpful in staying informed in the field, slowly crafting out your policy interest, and peaking inside the line of profession.
What has been the best part of your experience so far? The best part of McCourt is without a doubt is its people. A lot of my learning was done outside of the classroom by engaging with my professor and my peers. From orientation, to classroom, to my student involvement, I’ve been continuously impressed by the people I work with. The students are here highly intelligent and determined in their goals, and the community is very inclusive and collaborative. Everyone brings their unique perspective and demonstrate their passion for policy at McCourt.
What internships have you had so far during your time at McCourt? My internship in Summer 2023 was in the private sector. I worked on the damage forensic investigation team at an economic consulting firm in Washington D.C. Our team conducts valuation on damage for international arbitration.
