Application process
Step 1: Determine your program
Not sure which program is right for you? Review our graduate programs and certificates to determine which can help you accomplish your professional goals.
Step 2: Review admissions requirements and prerequisites
Each of our graduate programs has different admissions requirements. Review program requirements and prerequisites and reach out to the Admissions team for more information.
Step 3: Gather application materials
Prepare to apply for admission by gathering the required materials. You can:
- Reach out to recommendation writers
- Request transcripts from previously-attended institutions
- Update your resume/CV
- Write your academic statement of purpose
- Request English language testing scores (if undergraduate institution was non-English speaking)
- Gather any necessary documents relevant to your program of interest’s application requirements
Step 4: Create a portal account and complete your application
Once you have reviewed your program of interest’s admissions requirements, create an account on the Georgetown Application Portal. You will apply and submit materials through the portal, and will also use it to check on your application status. Once your application is complete, you can submit it to the program to review for admission.
International applicants
International students are required to submit additional documentation with their application to demonstrate a level of proficiency in the English language sufficient to meet the Georgetown McCourt admissions requirements.
