Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt for its academic rigor and focus on complex public policy challenges. Its analytical training, emphasis on public management, and international perspective aligned closely with my professional interests. Georgetown gave me stronger tools to navigate demanding policy environments and a professional network that has helped shape my career.
What was the best part of your experience?
I particularly valued the opportunity to combine academic study with active involvement in Georgetown’s student community. Through my leadership roles in the Latin American Policy Association and the New Students Committee, I helped foster policy dialogue and support new students. My involvement in the Conflict Transformation Lab and the Graduate Association of Mexican Students also created opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and engagement with conflict resolution.
Three courses were especially memorable: Speechwriting for Public Policy with Sean O’Brien, Multilateral Development Banks with David Fulton, and Public Management with Donald Moynihan.
Student organization involvement while at McCourt:
- President, Latin American Policy Association (LAPA): December 2020–August 2021.
- Vice President, New Students Committee (NSC): August–December 2020.
- Ambassador, Georgetown Conflict Transformation Lab (CTL): August 2020–May 2021.
- Member, Georgetown University Graduate Association of Mexican Students (GUGAMS): August 2020–August 2021.
Hobbies/ Interests: Competitive chess, golf, political and philosophical literature, and running.
