Krista Ruffini
Assistant Professor
Krista Ruffini is an economist who analyzes how government policies targeted to disadvantaged populations affect labor market, education, and health outcomes.
She is an assistant professor at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy, a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and an affiliate at CES-Ifo. She was previously a Visiting Scholar at the Minneapolis Federal Reserve's Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute and a Visiting Research Scholar at Princeton University's Center for Health and Wellbeing. Prior to graduate school she worked at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the Council of Economic Advisers, and the House of Commons (UK). Her work has been featured in media outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, and NPR. Krista received her PhD from UC-Berkeley and holds an MA in Economics from UC-Berkeley; an MPA from the London School of Economics; and a BA in Economics, International Relations, and Political Science from Boston University.
