Kaylee Matheny

Assistant Professor

Kaylee Matheny is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy at the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy and an Affiliate with Johns Hopkins University's Poverty and Inequality Research Lab. Her research has been published in American Sociological Review, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, and American Educational Research Journal. She is working on her first book, under contract with UC Press, which explores socioeconomic inequality in college-going.

Dr. Matheny received her Ph.D. in sociology of education and education policy from Stanford University, her M.A. in sociology from Stanford University, and her B.A. in sociology and creative writing from Emory University. She enjoys playing board games, trying new recipes, and reading science fiction/fantasy novels.
