Ban Cheah
Associate Research Professor
Ban Cheah is Senior Economist and Research Professor at the Center on Education and the Workforce. He specializes in analytics using data from the US Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Economics to inform on policy questions in higher education and labor economics. He has more than 20 years of experience in SAS and is fluent in Python, R, and Javascript programming languages. In addition to providing programming support in data analysis, he also creates interactive data visualizations to help users gain a deeper understanding of the center's research topics.
Before joining CEW, he was a SAS programmer and systems analyst at Westat. While at Westat he provided programming support for sampling, data collection, weighting, and analysis. He most worked on the evaluation of the Head Start program where he implemented impact analysis using software for complex survey data and multi-level models.
