Why did you choose McCourt? In comparison to other MPP programs, McCourt had a greater emphasis on stats and analytics than other programs I saw which tended to be softer in nature. I wanted to do some work with more analytical rigor.
What was the best part of your experience? I am mainly motivated by applying data science to interesting problems. I tend to enjoy working on problems that I find meaningful. Because of being at McCourt, I was able to get involved with interesting public policy problems from both a social and technical point of view. One of my favorite examples of this was working as a Deloitte analytics fellow using data science for anti-human trafficking work.
What internships have you had so far during your time at McCourt? I completed a Deloitte Data Analytics Fellowship, and was on a research grant for anti-human trafficking work.
Student organization involvement while at McCourt: I was in the Latin American Policy Association (LAPA) and the East Asian Policy Association.
Undergraduate university and degree: Dartmouth College, Linguistics
Hobbies/ Interests: Wing Chun Kung Fu, cooking, photography, datascience
