Hometown: Oak Park, CA
Why have you chosen McCourt? I chose McCourt - first and foremost - because it's located in Washington, DC. Having the federal government in your backyard can be scary for many people; but for me, it was too good to be true. This should not take away from the school's renown faculty, its alumni network, the school's endless opportunities, and most definitely, its academic rigor which were all factors that helped me choose McCourt over other policy programs.
What's the best part of your experience so far? It's hard to pick just one thing. I would say both the opportunities the school offers, such as weekly discussion groups with GU Politics' fellows, and the people associated with the school are two of my favorites. The people, whether that be the students, faculty, or administrators, have been so welcoming and eager to help me throughout my journey here at McCourt.
What internships have you had so far during your time at McCourt? I've had the opportunity to be an intern for two members of the US House of Representatives.
Student organization involvement while at McCourt: GU Politics.
Undergraduate Degree and University: University of Wisconsin-Madison, BA in Political Science.
What are your hobbies/ interests? I enjoy playing golf, spending time outdoors, watching sports with friends, and trying new restaurants and local coffee shops.
