Gerry Gingrich

Dr. Gingrich served as the Faculty Director of McCourt School's Executive Master in Policy Leadership until December of 2022. A member of McCourt’s adjunct faculty since 1994, Gerry entered public service in 1992 as a founding member of the College of Information and CyberSpace (CIS) at the National Defense University (NDU). In that role, she directed the Department of Defense’s flagship program in information technology and leadership. She led multiple university level committees working directly for the President of NDU, to include the 2013 re-accreditation of the NDU from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Upon retirement from Federal service in 2017, Gerry was awarded the Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Award from Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Gerry is an expert in strategic leadership and decision making, organizational innovation, and technological and behavioral change. In 1990, she co-founded and led the first executive program in the country in the leadership and management of information systems at The George Washington University. Before entering academe, Gerry was a Corporate Lending Officer for Bank of America and a Certified Public Accountant for KPMG. She holds executive degrees in foreign policy from MIT and in information systems from the University of Minnesota; an MS and PhD in organizational and cognitive psychology from the University of Maryland; and a BS in business and finance from the University of North Carolina.
