Why did you choose McCourt? Having worked in development for several years, the quant-focused program tailored for mid-career professionals was very attractive. McCourt’s world-class faculty and location in DC were also a huge part of this decision. The McCourt School is perfectly located and offers a great opportunity to interact with the movers and shakers of development in the world.
What was the best part of your experience? The MIDP experience was wonderful. The diverse, multi-talented and experienced cohort, students and faculty alike, has been a joy to be around. I learned a lot from this cohort every single day.
What internships did you have during your time at McCourt? The World Bank: during the summer of 2018, I worked with the Development Research Group at The World Bank.
Student organization involvement while at McCourt: Co-founder of AfriKa: African Policy Student Association, a student organization at Georgetown University.
Undergraduate university, degree, and major: Egerton University, Kenya, BSc. in Mathematics and Statistics
Hobbies / Interests: When I am not in the gym working out, I am probably combing through blogs focused on development or listening to podcasts on development.
